1. The cartoon should be based on the Theme: “May Pera Ba sa Komiks?”
2. Entries are to be submitted on a legal sized (8 ½ in. x 13 in. or 8 ½ x 14 in. ) paper, mounted on a ¼ illustration board. Strictly pen and ink rendering only.
3. The entry should be labeled at the back of the illustration board containing the following information:
a. Full name:
b. Age:
c. School/place of work:
d. E-mail address:
4. One entry per person only.
5. Entries should be properly wrapped and labeled “KOMIKON 2006: Editorial Cartoon Contest” and submitted through:
a. air mail:

b. Submit entries through the following stores:
- Comic Quest in SM Megamall, Building A, Basement (update as of Sept. 4, 2006)

6. Deadline of entries is on September 30, 2006. Entries submitted beyond this date are disqualified.

Di na ako magmamakaawa na makapasok pa. Tsk! Although I am interested to join, medyo minamalas lang kasi't ngayon ko lang nadiskubre ang site na to. Anyway, baka next year.

I last updated it on March 2006 after I decided to leave the daily im doing a cartoon with. problema sa copyright yung pinag-awayan namin nung publisher.
I am now an editorial cartoonist for the top local daily here in Panay Island, the Panay News. But sadly, the editorial board is not inclined to post the cartoons on their site because they probably know that im going to collect a fee if ever opted to post it.
anyway, please, kung may marefer kayong other contests other than your group's i would appreciate it.

sayang at ngayon ko lang din napansin n meron palang pacontest ang komikon. isa ako na humahanap ganyan ding pakontes at talaga namang ikagagalak kong makasali at mapabilang ang mga gawa ko.
kahit di ako manalo, importante kasi, ay maging isa ako sa mga lumahok at sumuporta sa inyong pakontes.
Ipinagmamalaki kong isa rin ako sa mga kartunista na gumagawa ng editorial cartoon at comicstrip sa ibat ibang diyaryo sa pilipinas.
